During sexual arousal and foreplay , the inner 1/3 of the vaginal canal increases in length an additional 2 inches (from its average of 3 to 5 inches), and widens to a full 2 inches; meanwhile the outer 1/3 (the first 2 inches), is narrowing, swelling up and getting tighter.
